In honor of Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I decided to make a list of the things I am most thankful for.
BIG THINGS I AM THANKFUL FOR:
My health
Because I am not only fortunate enough to be able to eat healthy, wholesome meals everyday but also able-bodied enough to workout.
My friends
Because I have found people who fill me up and make me feel like a part of me is missing when they are away.
My family
Because I have the strongest support system. I know that is cliche, but I mean it.
Soul City Church
Not sure where to even start with my thanks for Soul City and the people it has brought into my life. I will never forget that weekend in September (Sunday the 11th, to be exact) when I first stepped foot into SCC. From that first message, first breaking of my heart and crying out to the Lord. I never looked back.
Privilege to go to school
Waking up everyday knowing I have the opportunity to continue my learning and chase my dreams. Even on those days I don’t feel like going, I remember how much of a privilege it is to have a class to attend.
LITTLE THINGS I AM THANKFUL FOR:
Hot coffee on cold days
Especially when the morning light plays through the steam while the mug warms up your hands. So cozy.
Waking up before my alarm
And feeling refreshed! Absolutely no better way to start my mornings. It gives me time to think and start the day on the right foot.
Breakfast foods
Does this even need an explanation?! Breakfast is, hands down, my favorite meal. Sweet or savory. Hot or cold. There are so many options!
Apparently all of the little things I am thankful for have to do with mornings? No surprise to me since I am a morning person. There is something I truly love about slow, intentional mornings.
What are you thankful for? Let me know in the comments!
